After more than two years, the mystery behind the swedish experimental project iamamiwhoami is long gone. The web is full of “not Christina Aguilera, nor Lady Gaga but Jonna Lee” and the absolute legitimate glorification of her art (for a good summary, look up the Wikipedia entry).
But what fascinates us the most is that iamamiwhoami have succeeded to stand out in an cultural environment in which fascinating artists, with fascinating music and even more fascinating videos emerge every second. The web is full of small undiscovered iamamiwhoamis. Don’t get me wrong, the music is wonderful and the videos are ALL top-notch, but it is the artificially created mysticism that makes the difference. iamamiwhoami have used the internet, which stands for transparency, access-to-all-areas, no limitations, in a uncomparable manner and have created something secretive, which we are not able to grasp, something simple mysterious.
So now to the video: iamamiwhoami’s new video for their single “idle talk” shows the evolution the project has taken by preseting a very clean and natural imagery, since the mystery is now solved. We, as many others, are of course very much looking forward to the album release of “kin”.
Happy Easter Ravished-Friends! We hope you all had a great Easter Weekend with your friends and families.
So without many words we present you today a real classic! Lithuanian directors Mantas Skrupskelis and Vytautas Volbekas from the creative collaboration studio “Phantom” created this wonderful music video for Mario Basanov and Vidis’ song “Changed”. The retro styled video tells the story of an addiction we all know very well: Hair, Hair, Hair….

Oldie but Goldie! What we have here is a music video for the swedish band “Desert Soul”, which could equally be a fashion film. Singer and model (and director??) Emma McWilliams very cool and lascivious performance is interrupted by rather daring and equally lascivious and sensual scenes captured by the great Axel Lindahl (who you might know from this little gem).
All in all: Swedish coolness and knowledge of style combined with wonderful music.
It took less than two seconds to decide to share this video with our readers. Copenhagen based director Dolcerocca created this stunning music video for Nicosia Longhi’s music project AIEMO. The technique is to shoot the same scene over and over just with different models and set the different parts together to a great new big thing. The androgenic character of this video is strengthened by the mix of bisexuality, race and gender. The smooth sounds of AIEMO and the fascinating images support each other at best.
In the end we have a “bizarre, erotic and futuristic experience” with high fashion character - and thats what we love most! Wonderful.

Lately, we have observed a tendecy with music video directors to choose a daring, often violent and plot-driven approach. The result is a short film, in which the suspense of the plot is underlined by the climax of the song. Examples for this “trend” is Youth Lagoon’s July or even Golden Filter’s Kill Me.
Music video and commercial director AG Rojas crafted a very emotional piece for the legendary British rock band Spiritualized. What sets this piece apart is it’s roughness, not only in the story but also in the camera-work. It’d be stupid to spoil the plot, so please bear with the film until the end and just resist hitting the forward button. Rest assured, you won’t be disappointed.
