The third and final part of our Ghostly International Week featuring - our first ever theme week. Ghostly is one of the most famous American labels for electronic music, known for releases by artists like Dabrye, Legowelt, DMX Crew; or to cite more recent ones, Golden Panda, Matthew Dear or Phantogram.
After featuring Nathan Corbin and Charles Bergquist videos earlier this week, we will take a look at the music video “Brokendate” of self-called “synth obsessive” music artist Com Truise. Director Will Joines had the chance to completely come out of his shell and create a five minutes of a somehow psychedelic parallel world. The mix of 80s cop shows, film noir and futuristic implemented fights between the mysterious underdog and the evil villain are a perfect fit for Com Truise’s offbeat electro sounds. This is retro-futuristic music meets it’s visual counterpart. We like!
